IMAGENET, THE WORLD LEADING DISTRIBUTOR OF DIGITAL MARKETING MATERIALS, EXPANDS INTO MUSIC WITH THE APPOINTMENT OF VINCE BANNON AND KUMI SHIMAMOTO
Santa Monica, CA--(Nov. 24, 2004)-- imagenet, the leading distributor of digital marketing materials around the world, expands into music with the appointment of Vince Bannon and Kumi Shimamoto. Bannon has been named Executive V.P. Worldwide Music and Kumi Shimamoto named V.P. Business Development, effective immediately. The two will lead imagenet's sales efforts in music internationally and be based in the company's Santa Monica offices. Simon Cox, imagenet Chief Executive, made the announcement today and Bannon and Shimamoto will report directly to him.
The imagenet music marketing service is a strategic vehicle for record companies, concert promoters, talent agencies, and music publishers to distribute marketing materials digitally around the world. By using the imagenet service, music companies can place their marketing materials strategically knowing who they are reaching and receiving real time results at every stage of the process. Current clients of imagenet's music marketing service include Warner Music worldwide and BMG in Asia.
Bannon comes to imagenet after spending many years in the music industry. Most recently he was V.P. Artist Development at Redline Entertainment, a subsidiary of Best Buy. Prior to that, Bannon was Sr. V.P. of Artist Development at Sony Music working with artists such as Celine Dion, Macy Gray, Genuine, Fuel, and Ben Folds Five.
Shimamoto joins imagenet's North America office from the Tokyo office where she successfully introduced the image.net service as the Japanese Country Manager. Before joining imagenet, Shimamoto had been Managing Director United Kingdom for a Japanese company creating a computer game studio and managing licenses.
