Sullivan was the Assistant Editor of the Sunday Times Magazine, where he had been a senior editorial executive for 12 years. He began his career at the Sunday Times as the youngest Photo Editor in Fleet Street. Sullivan has experience at all levels of newspaper and magazine publishing. In 2002, he was chosen as International Photo Editor of the Year at Visa pour L'Image in Perpignan, the international festival of photojournalism. Sullivan also runs The World Press Photo annual exhibition sponsored by the Sunday Times.
