Stephanskirchen, 7th July 2017 – 50 Years of MARC O’POLO: On Thursday 6th July 2017, the premium modern casual label MARC O’POLO celebrated half a century of fashion in Munich and at its headquarters in nearby Stephanskirchen. Proceedings opened mid-morning when Robbie & Ayda Williams appeared in the Munich MARC O’POLO Store to unveil their Iconic Capsule Collection, produced in design cooperation MARC O’POLO. In the evening, 1,800 guests from across the world were invited to the MARC O’POLO Village at the company’s headquarters in Stephanskirchen, just outside Munich, for what was sure to be an unforgettable birthday party featuring a fashion show with some familiar faces and several musical highlights.
When the words «Let’s celebrate 50 years of O’« echoed through the largest MARC O’POLO flagship store in Munich’s stylish Theatinerstraße, selected press representatives gathered to watch Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda unveiling their Special 50th Anniversary Sweatshirt Edition in person. The couple then answer ed media questions before meeting a few of their lucky fans.
With around 20 pieces for women and men designed in cooperation with Robbie & Ayda Williams, the MARC O’POLO Iconic Capsule Collection is available exclusively in MARC O’POLO Stores and on www.marc-o-polo.com. The accompanying campaign was shot by star photographer Peter Lindbergh.
The highlight of the evening’s big birthday bash at company headquarters in Stephanskirchen was a fashion show with a cast of top-flight runway models. With Aleksandra Woroniecka, Fashion Director for French Vogue, light designer Thierry Dreyfus (Eyesight), and DJ Peter Kruder in charge, the show was an immaculate composition of style, lighting, and music; casting was in the capable hands of Angus Munro und Noah Shelley.
Guests for the evening included a range of celebrities such as Mads Mikkelsen (current face of the MARC O’POLO campaign), Numan Acar, Marie Bäumer, Oliver & Katrin Berben, Nicolette Krebitz, Stephan Luca, Javi Martínez, Claudio Pizarro, Hans Sigl, Alicia von Rittberg, Tom Wlaschiha, Susanne Wuest and many more.
